So I read this book half way through July and I haven’t had the motivation to put this book on here… I don’t remember much about it unfortunately (fortunately though cause I didn’t really like it all that much?)

I have read and really enjoyed Annabel’s other books but maybe I was in a better romance headspace for it then? Cause I am NOT now lol.

I am hoping that this will be my last romance for a while cause I cannot keep doing this to myself. I am cynical and romance like these are never real 🙂

Like I said, I don’t remember much about this book but enough to get the gist.

Jane is trying to make movies but men aren’t taking her seriously. She pitches a movie and the other producers are kinda interested but don’t think it has enough draw to make money. Jane decides to lie and say she knows a very famous musician that is willing to make a song for the soundtrack.

She kinda knew this musician from when she was in a TV show as a kid but things didn’t end well between them. One of her coworkers, the love interest, agrees to help her. The artist will be playing a show near where his parents live so they go stay with them for a week or two.

His whole family likes her and they start to developed a relationship.

Jane is able to have a meeting with the musician but it doesn’t go well. She leaves and is mean to the boy to their fling ends.

When she goes back home she admits defeat to her job and she decides to just to the big block buster movies that make money.

I don’t remember what changed her mind but eventually she realizes that she is being stupid and goes after the boy and they get together fr fr this time.

She also starts her own production company so she can make the movie herself (I think lol).

Well, there it is. Somehow it was and wasn’t insta love but I give up and don’t want to read any books like this any time soon lol

I am becoming a cynic, what can I say. Peace
