Another book recommended to my but by a friend! He made it sound soo interesting and I put it on hold with my library and got it a few days later.

You get 10,000 lives to get it perfect and we find ourselves with Milo and he has 5 more before he gets disappeared forever (I forgot the actual term they used rip). But! It is hard to want to move on to the next step in afterlife when you are in love with Death.

I blasted through this books. There was a day I was listening to it and had eaten an edible and it was a crazy experience.

This book feels so non linear due to the fact that he will tell you about his past lives so obviously you jump into the past often but it does actually follow a linear path.

It is hard to really summarize this book, part of me wants to get it to every life he lived but it would take soooo long. Somehow the author fit the description of each life in a 374 page book. It didn’t feel too long but didn’t feel too short, the pacing was phenomenal.

When Milo dies, he ends up in the “middle life” (again, can’t remember what they call it) where he is greeted by death and two other beings that I think give him advice and be the judge if he has lived a perfect life.

Milo is in love with death, self named Susie, and has the dilemma of not wanting to live the perfect life and leave her behind.

As he is trying to figure out the perfect life, he is also trying to figure out how to move on with death by his side.

Death quits her “job” and is punished by being separated from Milo and also is slowly disappearing.

Eventually, on the last life, Milo talks Susie into going to life the last life with him and have them both get it perfect so they can move on together.

The plan is successful and they get to have the rest of their lives together. The last chapter is a look into all the happy lives they get to live together.

Absolute 5 star book. Would 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone.
