I got myself an eReader and so far I am super happy with my purchase. I have been considering it for like a year and a half. What finally made me pull the trigger though was that I had been trying to read a book on my phone but kept getting distracted with the other things I could do on it. I also didn’t want to use my iPad because 1. the battery life SUCKS and when I ready, I am sitting down for the long haul and don’t want to have to be by an outlet. and 2. it is simply too large.

Also I am pathetic but my phone was too small (this does NOT mean I want a larger phone for the love of god I would actually like a smaller phone) and my iPad was too big. So the ereader was the best choice. I got the Kobo Clara BW 🙂 now at the time I was like, “why the hell would I need a colored ereader that’s ridiculous.” And now that I have the one I bought, I wish I got the color one. Especially because at the time they were the same price. So basically I am a silly little guy but also in the end it doesn’t matter because the words on the page are black and white and the only color can be found on the book covers lol.

The ereader is also better on my eyes which has been nice. I like that I can change the brightness and also the temperature of the light. I think I mostly keep it on the night more yellow white though because my eyes are tired of blue light all the time.

This thing also has a battery life that outlasts me. I have had it for a month not and have only charged it once, for like 10 minutes.

I also love that I can just easily fit it in my pocket!!!! If the pockets are big that is, and I do have some pants with large pockets so I feel special and blessed with that fact.

The case for it though, from their website was entirely too much money. I hate buying things from Amazon and also all their cases were ugly and cheap. So I bought my case off etsy and I am a happy happy camper. Although now that I have done that, I find myself wanting to buy more cases to switch it out which would be crazy…. right….
Right now, the case I have is green. To those who know me this is the least shocking things. Like do humans breath air? Does the sun always rise in the east and set in the west? Does every long running tv show with a huge audience always fuck up their last season and disappoint all their loyal fans? (NOT looking at you Avatar the Last Airbender).

I also have really been vibing with being able to annotate my books. I am funny and sometimes this lets me be even funnier. (I actually don’t think I am that funny, just sometimes something good hits me but it’s really not that common. I cannot be funny on command) I am hoping that it will enhance these posts, as in when I actually start to write about the books I have read recently.

Most of the time I think I do like writing my summaries/reviews about the books I have read, but also I haven’t been feeling it lately. I have still be trying to get through the 5 books I set as my first quarter books. I have a month left and I think I have read three out of the five so that feels like a win. It is looking like there is one I won’t be finishing and that is because I am simply not in the mood for it. Not saying that isn’t a good book and that I will never want to read it, I just don’t want to right now.

I sold something to someone on FB marketplace and we ended up walking around a Barnes and Noble for an hour and a half. Happy to say I didn’t buy anything but got a lot of new books that I am interested in reading. I have already finished one, almost done with another (although totally loosing interest in it unfortunately and am STRUGGLING), just started a third, and about to start a fourth lol. But this person that I met gave me a bunch of suggestions. She is a romantasy girly so I might be getting back into that.

Also the woman she it, Sarah J. Maas, just announced two more books in the ACOTAR series. One at the end of this year (October) and beginning of next year (January). I am sure they will be about the third sister that spent all the other books traumatized and barely talking. As embarrassed as I am that I like romantasy, I am hyped for these lol. I will be rereading the entire series this year (like I do every year). Although, as I reread them now, I skip through the parts I give zero shits about so it makes it faster to get through them.

My computer is about to die and I am too lazy to get the charger so this is where I end todayyyyy. Hoping to write a post about The Cat Who Saved Books soon, this is the first book I read with my ereader so there are annotations I can use!!!!
