Book number 3 finished of the goal. These were a lot easier to push out than all my other quarterly goals because I was halfway done with all of these books anyways. Also I was determined so I got these finished fast.

I didn’t know what this was about when I started reading it and as I was reading it I got nervous it would make me cry and I was not in the mood to cry at the time so I stopped reading it.

Picking it back up, I had already been crying more lately so I figured I would be okay. I did not cry reading this book though.

What is funny though is that I don’t always remember the first half of the books since it took me so long to finish them. I will still try my best thoughhhh.

A friend group made a pact that when someone needs it, they would hold a living funeral where everyone would talk about how much they love each other and why they matter. All this starts after a close friend of theirs passes while they were in college. I cannot remember how he passes but I think it was an OD.

There are 5 people that are a part of this pact. Two of them are gay married to each other (the Jordan’s because both of their first names are Jordan) and they are who we are really following during this book with snippets of everyone else’s funerals they have called.

The first one I don’t remember exactly why she had hers but I think her kid was going off to college and she was sad?

The next one was for a woman after her parents passed away.

The other guy that wasn’t the Jordan’s had his right before going to prison for art fraud.

The last one is for one of the Jordan’s. Now this is where it gets somewhat complicated because one of them is dying of cancer and he pretends to throw one for himself but actually is doing one for his husband. The thought behind that is so that the pact never ends after he actually passes away and that they will all stay together and be there for each other better after it.

Honestly a pretty sweet book and if you had the time and can’t think of a book to read, I would suggest this.
