This is just worse than the last. I can’t stand Violet, I feel like she becomes the worse character. I don’t know why I continue to re read these books but I am trapped in the hell hole that is returning to this series.
But here I am, having reread it, for the 3rd time. I am guessing I will eventually return back to it.
I don’t feel like I did a great job writing the fourth wing summary so this one is only going to be worseeeeee
Violet spends this whole book pissed at Xaden because he didn’t tell her everything but also like I feel like it is crazy that she expects him to have “full disclosure” for everything. Like he is literally running a revolution and it makes sense that he can’t tell her everything.
They are in the city that should be destroyed but isn’t and they are trying to figure out how to move forward. They end up going back to the war college and try and pretend nothing happened.
While back Xaden is sent away to the farther base they have and leadership is only letting them meet up once a week which is hard on the mated dragons.
Baby dragon is sleeping and growing and can’t come around but a new leadership person is punishing Violet for her not showing up by making her use her powers so much that she almost “burns out.”
Violet spends a lot of the book ignoring her friends because she doesn’t want to lie to them and also spends a lot of time researching how to make the ward stone work that is at the city that has been burned down.
Eventually she tells everyone what was going on and they start to help her do research. They figure out that there are journals of two of the first dragon riders that fired the ward stone that is at the war college. They have to use the king’s son who has been at the war college behind his dad’s back to go into the special part of the library “archives” to get the journals.
Violet gets caught and is tortured for weeks until finally she gets broken out. They finally tell everyone about what was going on with the big bad guys and let everyone make a choice whether or not to go back to the city that should have been burnt down.
When they get there they team up with the flyers and start their own college. Violet tries and eventually gets their ward stone fired up but didn’t complete it so they have to figure out how to fix it.
The main war college state asks for their help because the big bad guys are going to attack. They all eventually agree to go back and help them.
The war college’s ward stone gets destroyed and Violet’s mother sacrifices herself to give it power.
They are able to beat them (for now) but Xaden had to sacrifice himself and he kinda became a big bad guy (or at least the start of it).
Guys, I can’t do this again. I don’t think I can write this for the next book lol.
