Guys!!!! I am crushing my quarter two goals because this is the 3rd book I have finished that was on my list and I am working towards finishing the last two.

I loved this book. It was as crazy and weird and fun as I was hoping for it to be 🙂

She felt kinda like a doozy though. Honestly I was driving for half of the book and felt soooo tired and out of it that I didn’t notice some parts of the book but I feel like I was able to rewind and get all the parts I was missing.

Well, um good luck to me and also to you.

SO, this old ass man is breaking out of his nursing home t-30 minutes from his 100th birthday party. I don’t think he has a plan on what he is going to do besides getting out of there and living.

He makes his way to a metro station and wants to take the next mode of transportation out of there. Meanwhile there is a guy with a huge suitcase that wants to go to the bathroom but can’t make it fit. He asks old man if he can hold it while he goes to the bathroom.

While he is waiting for the guy to come out of the bathroom a bus comes and the old man ends up leaving with the suitcase. When the guy comes out of the bathroom and sees that suitcase is gone he goes all beast mode on the poor teller to see where the guy ran off too with his suitcase.

The old man goes for several stops and when he gets off he walks around until he meets a man that lives alone at an old train station. They gab with each other and eventually open the suitcase and BOOM there is a shit ton of money in there.

The guy eventually catches up with them but they somehow outsmart him and lock him in the freezer. They turn it on to make him stop yelling but accidentally forget, go to bed for the night, and when they wake up in the morning, the man is dead.

From there they decide to leave to hide the body and travel around. They dispose of the body somehow (I don’t remember how) and meet a man that runs a food stand. They talk him into going with them somehow (I fell asleep during this part and was too lazy to rewind to find my place.).

Moving along they are trying to find a place to stay and end up staying with a lady that has a dog and an elephant, she eventually sees articles about a missing older man and an old man thief who they think stole him away.

They clear up the misunderstanding, but they eventually get found out by another man who wants to suitcase full of money back but he gets sat on by the elephant and dies.

As they run away (on a bus so that way they can bring the elephant) they hit a third guy who wants the suitcase with the bus. He so happens to be the leader of this group and also doesn’t die.

They head to one of the group’s brother’s house where it turns out that the leader of the group is old friends with the brother. They all become friends and agree to work together to have none of them get arrested.

When the cops show up they spin their story and somehow it works and they actually get sent away to another country where they live the rest of their days.

As a side note, that plays into the end of the book, throughout the book we follow the crazy life of the old man and all his adventures and how he gets to where he is in the nursing home. It helps explain why they end up in the country that they are.

I did really enjoy this book, but again. I struggled through some of these points. I wouldn’t read it again but I am not unhappy that I read it.
